Red Devil 3.5cm
Amphilophus citrinellum/labiatus
Red Devils are an extremely robust species, native to Nicaragua. Highly responsive to their owners, very large specimens are often kept as a single pet fish. Adult colouration begins at 6-10cm, and each individual can vary considerably. They can be extremely aggressive (particularly solitary individuals), but can also be readily kept in very large aquaria with other large American Cichlids, provide plenty of hiding places. Males grow to 25-30cm, females are usually smaller.
